Why You Need to Sign In – Toad Data Point and Toad Data Studio

Online authentication

Usage of specific versions of Toad Data Point and Toad Data Studio requires a Quest Software account. To utilize the application, you must have an active Quest account. If you don’t already have one, you can easily create an account after launching the application.

Toad requires you to perform online authentication by signing in to your Quest account. The sign in authentication takes place in your web browser and is the same authentication as your Quest.com account.

Offline authentication

For users with restricted or no access to the internet Quest offers an alternative pathway of offline licensing for those not using the Subscription editions of Toad.

For Toad Data Studio users, after your purchase or download of a trial, you’ll receive a license file included in your product license email notification. You can use this file to register your license locally and not be required to sign-in to your Quest account. See Toad Data Studio Product Licensing documentation for more information.

For Toad Data Point users, license keys can be directly entered in the application. see Toad Data Point Product Licensing documentation on details to register your license key.
